My dh and I have been homeschooling for 11 years now! I have been dealing with chronic pain for about 4 years. I have not been diagnosed with anything - we are still in the process of figuring it out. My dh also lives with chronic pain and has been for 5 years or so. I look forward to the fellowship although I will probably make it on here once a week (maybe less). Blessings, Tammy

We have 5 boys: B1 - 15 years old; B2 - 13 years old; B3 - 10 years old; B4 - 8 years old; B5 - 7 years old. My dh is a pastor/missionary and he also works as an insurance agency (a new job). He also leads worship at the church. I enjoy leading women's Bible study and being a helper to my husband. We use Sonlight and My Father's World. This year my oldest son will be using Sonlight Core 300 and the other 4 (with modifications) will be using Exploring Countries and Cultures. The first time through someone else facilitated and this time I was the facilitator. I also enjoy Kay Arthur and many of her studies. I also enjoy studying different books of the Bible with nothing but a Bible dictionary and maybe a commentary for historical or word study purposes. The next study I plan on leading (Lord willing) will be based on the book, Having a Mary Spirit: Allowing God to Change Us from the Inside Out by Joanna Weaver. It is a great book - worth the read! It TAUGHT me a lot about sitting at the feet of Jesus, not trying to run around and do things; nor feel guilty for not doing them. It really helped me see my quiet time as the relationship it should be between the Lord and me. It also taught me not to be so "busy" that I missed the now, and take advantage of the time I do have; down time is something you plan for and people should come before activities. I learned my job is to be at home, not feeling guilty because I couldn't run hither and yon. God bless people who can write to encourage and teach us.
