I'm going to join in, too (albeit pretty quietly - I probably won't say much... just read along with ya'll).

This may sound bad- but I'm going to buy the book and read some of it first to see if I can do it. My comprehension is really down right now, so I what to see if I can even understand it before I sign up. I order the book today, so I should have it be to end of the week.

Joan I will be coming to glean and add as God leads. I'm so excited thinking about what God has planned for this! My husband laughed and said when will you have time to read...I have a HUGE stack of books I'm reading and a few areas I'm busy with (a family ministry and BSHS, not to mention being a wife and mother). But it was that smile that said also go for it. So if I don't stay up on the reading I hope you don't mind me coming to glean. How can I pass up something called "Calm My Anxious Heart"!!!!!

The book arrived from Buy.com in good order and really fast!! I got the companion journal (funny, the book is paperback, the journal hardcover????). I think I may send the journal back...it's nice, but I can buy a two dollar (or less!) notebook to do the same job. It has a place for the Bible memory verse, and room for "what did I learn about God this week". It also has a page for "Using my memory verses to pray and praise God". That's about it...unless you want a pretty, permanent reminder of the study. Hope that helps-Lori |

I thought I would type the 1st memory verse given in the book so if any of you have trouble memorizing like I do (as in climbing a MOUNTAIN......any/all tips for people like me would be appreciated) can have an early start. I just bought some 3 x 5 cards at Walmart that are really nice for writing the scripture on. Every other line is a bold color (white and then the color) and it's a better visual for me than a whole bunch of words on the cards.)

I haven't ben around lately (life has been difficult, and my computer time has been limited), but I appreciate the fact that this list kept me on as a member even though I've been inactive. Well, scratch my getting a copy at the library - I'm having major library troubles, they keep charging me and charging me and I can't even pay what I owe. One clerk told me there are two accounts for my name and that may or may not be why, but they aren't going to stop charging me. I've paid them a small fortune. So anyway, I'll have to buy the book maybe next month at the Christian bookstore here. They will order it if they don't have it. It may be too late for the study, but I could go back and read all the posts.
