Calm My Anxious Heart - Chapter 8
How is worry like a rocking chair? It will give you something to do but it wont get you anywhere. How true this is! Even Jesus said so in Matthew 6:25-34, and tells us to stop worrying.
Chapter 8 of our book addresses worry as a lack of faith. The author says: When we worry, were saying, God cant. If we are walking in anxiety, were not walking in faith. We want to be women of faith, yet often worry becomes our middle name. We know the agony of its clutches. Were familiar with the small trickle of fear that meanders through our minds until it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained. We *must* conquer this God cant disease.
Do you agree with this? What do you worry about? We in this group deal with some pretty hefty life issues on a daily basis. How does worrying about them make a negative impact on your life? How do you overcome it as Jesus tells us to?
If you have the book, read through the chapter and then come to the Bible Study Forum and share your thoughts. Dont worry
