If being a member of this group has touched you in a special way and you'd like to share that with others, would you consider posting it here? This is also a wonderful opportunity to share with those here how they have touched your life. Thank you for helping out with this! We hope it will be much easier than trying to find something and get permission at the last minute. It is important to me to pray for the other members, and important to know they pray for me. It is so great when someone has a breakthrough, like relief from pain, or a healing, or revelations about their lives that make it all easier and wonderful. It is also great to know we can all encourage and uplift those going through trials and enduring physical pains and illnesses to bring some joy and comfort to their lives. It's a place where those who mostly find it hard to get out and fellowship can talk to and read about others who understand.

Also the fellowship is wonderful. We can pray for each other, Study God's Word together. And share homeschooling ideas as well as buy or sell our tools we use. We are given a chance to write book reviews, write encouragements for Rose From Brier. Such a nice place to be able to share our thoughts from the Lord and also understand each other illnesses. It is such a blessing to share with a group of people who truly understand what it is like to live with a chronic illness. There is a gentle spirit here on the forum that is so refreshing. The Bible study, prayer, and sharing are just some of the ways to worship God, be refreshed and fed, and come closer to understanding the will of God in our difficult circumstances. I thank and praise God, foremost, and all who have been involved in making this place possible. It is unique, in my experience. I really do remove my shoes before I come to my computer, because to me this is holy ground...a place where the Lord resides. I am so blessed!-Lori

It has been exactly what I've needed - how amazing to have a Christian fellowship of hs women with health issues - how many more things in common can we list? To have so much in common with each other seems to make this an extraordinary place of refuge, safety, compassion, grace, encouragement, exhortation, praise, witness, and prayer. I am forever grateful to Abba Father for leading me here -- here I receive the understanding and love that I really was needing as I battle through each day. Also, the volunteers are amazing -- I've never seen a forum such as this run in such a "professional" manner - everything is well-done, and the judgement of those in leadership is immpecable. I don't think in most cases it is intentional it simply comes from not knowing. I believe one gains empathy by experience. Here at BSHS I have found "mega tons" of experience in such a wide variety of circumstances. Ladies who when you say you hurt and they say they understand, they really do understand! And when they tell you they are praying for you, it's not just being said as a pleasantry, they really are going to lift you up in prayer. When you read about the struggles one is going through your heart aches for them because you know how that pain feels, or you know how many more hours are in a sleepless night than a night with peaceful rest. Advice thats given from love with a true understanding of knowing that our situations are diverse. A place to come when the rest of your world just doesn't understand the struggles you face not only with our physical challenges but also the challenges we face with homeschooling our children, despite our physical conditions. Where God is the greatest presence and the strongest influence. When you think you aren't able to do anything for God at all, you can come here and bless and be blessed. You realize God can use all of us, no matter our physical limitations to bless anothers life. I know I feel truely blessed to have been lead to BSHS. This is a group of genuinely spirit filled ladies who love the Lord and know that this life is just a short journey on the way to our eternal home with Christ Jesus. May God continue to pour out His blessings upon this group and touch the lives of each and everyone to do the work of His will now and always. Blessings, Cheryl Scribner

Posts: 1490 (11/27/03 08:46:34) Gold Member More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Even though I have only been here about a week, I must say that it is so refreshing to find a group of Christian people who have some of the same issues I have to deal with and are so understanding. I only wish I had found this group about three years ago! I have am a member of another group whose focus is osteoporosis. While the information gleaned there is very helpful, we are not allowed to post anything "religious". If we send anything through that has a "religious" bent to it, the moderator will not let it be posted. So it is really nice to be able to share my health issues, ask questions, and share the Lord's work in my life at the same time! The combination is wonderful! Thankyou! Marsha Iddings

He never said we'd be perfect and whole this side of heaven. It is so wonderful to know there are ladies I can talk to without being told to "buck up" and "quit being such a baby" or my all-time personal favorite, "quit being sooooo lazy!" You all understand exactly what I'm going through. When I want to deny the symptoms, you all can relate and when I face them and feel despair, you're there to encourage and lift up. It's my desire to be that kind of cheerleader for you all. It's my desire to reach past my own pain to touch someone else's life and be an encouragement to them. I am so thankful for His Guidance and His Love. The very fact that He has allowed me to find this group and join is such a welcome respite from the advice-giving, harsh world out there. Here I find acceptance and love.............even when I'm in major denial or when I'm whiny! Thank you all for being one of the beams He uses to shine into my world of pain. Love in Him, Marie
